What You Need to Know About
Therapy online has the convenience of occurring outside of the traditional in-office setting. To participate, all you need is a place where you have privacy and access to the internet. As Candace is licensed in the state Kentucky, you will need to be in Kentucky for the session and can not be in a moving vehicle at the time of the appointment. Some of the benefits of online therapy include convenience as well as receiving therapy in the comfort of your own home or office.
Individual therapy is about just you. We focus on your goals for your life and explore your thoughts, feelings, beliefs, and experiences in order to search for resolution. Individual therapy is a collaboration between you and your therapist.
Primarily used for treating trauma - although it can be used to treat other conditions - ART is considered a relatively fast form of therapy. Utilizing bilateral eye movement, ART helps client process images, sensations, and feelings related to trauma and other forms of distress in order to better resolve these issues.
Most of us have learned to interact with our romantic partners through trial and error. What worked (or did not work) for our parents may not work for us now. Couples counseling is about helping both partners learn to solve their problems together. It is not about who is right and who is wrong - it is about facing your problems as a team. Couples often need to learn how to communicate well, to build trust, and to increase love and affection in a relationship; counseling may help you learn these skills.
Candace Cross Counseling, LLC provides different types of non-emergency mental health therapy, but we do not offer crisis management interventions.
If you or anyone you know is in any danger or life-threatening situation, please stop reading and call 911. If you notify us that you are a danger to yourself or someone around you, we will immediately call the police in order to assist you. It is best to reach out to the appropriate authorities who can be of help to your medical needs.
